Summer Reading Celebrated at Springfield Twp. Library

(Mel Corrigan, Aug. 15, 2021)

Springfield Twp, MI – Springfield Township Library wrapped up its Summer Reading program with an awards party on August 6. This year’s theme was Tails and Tales. Dozens of families attended the event, which included a concert by Davisburg Mountain Jubileers, free books for kids who submitted their reading logs and an ice cream social outdoors.

This year, 126 students registered for the program, of which 74 submitted reading logs, which tracked minutes read, by July 31. The cumulative time read was 103,358 minutes, which equates to nearly 72 days!

Next summer’s reading program theme will be Oceans of Possibility. Be sure to sign-up for the library’s newsletter and follow them on FB to stay informed of all library programs and offerings throughout the year.
