Holly Car Show Brings Crowds, and Classics, Each Wednesday Evening
(Mel Corrigan, July 19, 2021)
Holly, MI – July has been a rainy month, but the skies parted and the sun shone down on Holly last Wednesday evening for the weekly car show.
Historical downtown Holly is best described as quaint. It’s no wonder, then, that folks flock to the weekly car shows, where cars of all ages (though predominantly classics) are on full display.
The Holly Car Show was well-attended. Sidewalks along Saginaw Street were occupied with spectators sitting on benches or in camping chairs. Saginaw was packed with automobiles, four-rows wide, spilling over to fill most of Civic Drive, too; attendants perused the streets, admiring and talking cars. The lively ambiance was replete with music, and concessions to support Holly Area Youth Assistance.
Holly Car Show runs each Wednesday from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. from May through October. The season always concludes with the Halloween Car Show, where cruisers hand out candy to young trick-or-treaters.
If you haven’t experienced the Holly Car Show, why not give it a chance? There’s something for everyone: cars, cars and more cars, plus local businesses open for shopping, dining and more.
