36 Year Old Woman Fatally Shot in Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills, MI – On Tuesday, July 6, 2021at 4:24 am, personnel from the Auburn Hills Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to an apartment in the 3500 block of Fountain Circle for a person that had been shot.
Upon arrival, personnel located a 36-year-old female resident of the apartment with a single gunshot wound to her upper body. The female was unresponsive, and she was immediately transported to the hospital by Auburn Hills Fire personnel. The female later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The Auburn Hills Police Department is actively investigating this incident. The victim’s boyfriend, a 32-year-oldman from Rochester Hills, was in the apartment at the time of the shooting along with the victim’s 13-year-old son.
The 32-year-old boyfriend is currently in custody regarding this homicide, pending a review of the case by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office. This incident was contained to the apartment and did not involve other people in the apartment complex. There were no other reported injuries at the scene.
