July 19-23 – Berkley Library Snuffleballs Take Home Project and Video

Berkley, MI – Several programs will be taking place online at the Berkley Public Library in July.

Starting on July 6, the library’s hours will be expanded to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am to 4 pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 1 pm to 7 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Afternoon Book Club

TEEN

MiLibrary Quest, June 1 to July 31. Participate in a digital animal scavenger hunt put on by libraries across the state of Michigan. Enter by finding animal descriptions on library websites, and inputting those animals into the MiLibraryQuest entry form to be entered for a chance to win a prize! July 19-23 – Berkley Library Snuffleballs Take Home Project and Video

Snuffleballs—Make to Donate. Week of July 19.

Curbside Pickup—Registration required.

A snuffleball is a layered fleece ball used to hide dog treats inside to create a puzzle game for a dog. We will donate these to the Humane Society. We’ll post a how-to video on our Facebook page Monday morning. Kits can be picked up during all curbside hours July 19-24. Completed snuffleballs can be returned to the donation bin during all curbside hours July 26-31. Register at http://berkleylib.evanced.info/signup/calendar.

Online Story & a Craft

Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. (July 7, 14, 21, & 28)

Tune in for a story and a craft! Each Wednesday morning of Summer Reading we’ll post a storytime video on our Facebook page and have craft kits available for pickup as supplies last. No registration required.

 

All About Animals

Zoom—Registration required.

Wednesday, July 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Mad Science Detroit will teach us all about animal life cycles, camouflage, and more! Each family will also receive a kit to make animal tracks at home. Thanks to Vibe Credit Union for sponsoring this program!
