Puff Factory B&E Suspect Arrested
(Ferndale Police, June 16, 2021)
Ferndale, MI – On June 14, 2021 at approximately 6:18 a.m., Ferndale police officers responded to the Puff Factory, located at 800 W Nine Mile Rd on a burglary alarm. Officers found the front glass door broken and two cash registers missing from the store. A witness observed the incident and was able to describe the suspects clothing and vehicle to officers.
Cash, tobacco products and clothing items were stolen from the store.
A Ferndale Sergeant located the suspect vehicle while canvassing the area a short time later. As the sergeant approached the vehicle, the suspect exited the driver’s seat and fled on foot. Officers eventually caught the suspect as he attempted to evade capture. The suspect was ultimately arrested without incident and the stolen property was recovered. Investigators were able to tie the suspect to two additional burglaries from May 22, 2021 as well as another from June 14, 2021.
On June 15, 2021, Andre Gordon, 23, of Detroit was arraigned by 43rd District Court Magistrate Brennan on the following charges:
Breaking and Entering, 3 counts, 10 Year Felony
Gordon was given a $30,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear next on June 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
