Reporter Food: Breakfast Club in Madison Heights
(Crystal A. Proxmire, June 11, 2021)
Madison Heights, MI -Breakfast Club was one of the earliest Reporter Food columns back when I started testing out this series in 2016, and I also made a visit in 2018 where they had a special of pineapple upside down French toast. The great thing about Breakfast Club is they have a varied menu of interesting items, along with specials that give folks something new.
For my more recent breakfast I went a little healthier, having the veggie omelete made with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, onion, and jack cheese. This came served with hash browns and toast, and was a great start to a busy day!
I also ordered the house made chicken salad to have for later, which comes with spring mix and a variety of fresh fruits. The creamy chicken salad was perfect with the tangy sweetness of the strawberries, melon, and pineapples that came in the mix.
Breakfast Club is known for their sweet side too. Some options include salted caramel pecan pancakes, creme brulee French toast, and malted Belgian waffles served with bacon or sausage.
There’s also a variety of omelets and breakfast bowls, including a seafood bowl with scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, lobster, and crab with Newberg sauce over diced potatoes.
And they serve lunch items like fresh garden salads and hot grilled sandwiches. Among those is the crab cake melt featuring crab cakes open-faced with melted Swiss and avocado.
Breakfast Club has dining inside and out as well as carryout. Visit them at 30600 John R. Rod in Madison Heights and learn more online at https://breakfastclubdetroit.com.
