Red Oaks & Waterford Oaks Water Parks Aiming to Open this Summer

Madison Heights, Waterford, MI – Oakland County Parks and Recreation have announced they plan to Red Oaks Waterpark in Madison Heights and Waterford Oaks Waterpark in Waterford in some capacity this summer.
A press release states “Exact opening dates will be determined once Michigan Department of Health and Human Services orders are lifted for waterparks and staffing is in place. The current order that prohibits waterparks from operating is in effect until May 31, 2021.
“Waterpark features may be limited and will be determined by any restrictions in place and staffing levels; both may impact park hours, capacity and entry fees. Group reservations, pavilion rentals and season passes will not be offered for the 2021 season.”
Red Oaks Waterpark is located at 1455 E. 13 Mile Road in Madison Heights.  It features a wave pool, a triple-flume waterslide, a children’s water playground, and a 990-foot long moving river.
Waterford Oaks is located at 1702 Scott Lake Rd in Waterford Township.  It features a tropical-themed wave pool with palm trees and bubbler fountains near the shore. A children’s water playground features more than 30 interactive activities.
