May 9 – PurpleStride For Bruce in Hazel Park

May 9 – PurpleStride For Bruce in Hazel Park

Hazel Park, MI – According to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), more than 60,000 Americans are expected to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021; this is 166 people each and every day.  Bruce Schwartz, a loving husband, father, and friend, was one of those thousands.  Although Bruce fought very hard, he passed away only one short year later.

This event is the product of Bruce’s wife Melissa’s deep love for her husband, and her passion to continue his brave fight for raising awareness and funding research to help combat this deadly disease. This First Annual PurpleStride Walk-A-Thon Event honors not only Bruce Schwartz, but the thousands of other brave individuals who face this vicious and aggressive form of cancer.

Register for free and join us as we walk, run, or simply show-up to lend support.  Together, we will one day defeat pancreatic cancer!

The event takes place Saturday, May 8 at the Hazel Park High School Track from 11am to 2pm.
