Crash Injures Man Stopped on Shoulder of I-75, Bloomfield Police Seek Info

At approximately 12:22 p.m. on February 24, 2021 Bloomfield Township Police and Fire units, along with Auburn Hills Fire units, responded to the scene of a traffic crash on southbound I-75, near the exit ramp for Square Lake Road.
The initial investigation revealed that the driver of a gray 2008 Ram pickup stopped on the shoulder to close his tailgate.
While outside the vehicle, he and his truck were struck by a black 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan that was southbound on I-75.
Members of S.O.C.C.I.T. (Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigation Team) investigated the crash scene. The pickup’sd river was transported to Royal Oak Beaumont for treatment. The pickup’s passenger and the driver of the second vehicle also were taken to Royal Oak Beaumont for precautionary evaluation.
