Reporter Food: Mui’s Carryout in Clawson
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 13, 2021)
“More blessings come from giving than from receiving,” in another word, “There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.”
This is the quote that’s highlighted on the website for Mui’s Carryout in Clawson, and it’s the motto that’s kept them serving up generous portions of comforting Chinese food since 1988.
I recently visited for a helping of Tofu Pad Thai, as well as an order of Crab Rangoon, and an Egg Roll. Everything was consistent with the quality I remembered when I used to come here as a teenager, though then I was more a Beef Fried Rice fan at the time.
Mui’s is full of options, including lunch and dinner specials that are numbered for easy ordering. For example the No. 25 is Beef with Broccoli. No. 7 is Pepper Steak. No. 2 is Chicken Chop Suey. And No. 27 is called Wonderful Honey Chicken.
Items may also be purchased a la carte, including Emperors Garlic Chicken, Cantonese Pork Chow Mein, Cashew Shrimp, Moo Shu Beef and many more.
Mui’s Chinese Food Carrout is located at 845 W. 14 Mile Road in Clawson inside the Village Landing Shopping Center. Check out their full menu online at www.muiscarryout.com.
