Holly Chamber Announces Community Dollars w/ Matching Money
(Holly Area Chamber, Feb. 3, 2021)
The Holly Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a Community Dollars Program to help support the local Holly area businesses.
“We have had a lot of interest in offering a certificate that could be used in multiple businesses in the Holly area. We believe this is a great opportunity for Holly.” Executive Director Richard Kinnamon said.
The Holly Area Community Dollars are a unique paper certificate designed specifically for Holly Area Chamber Member Businesses. There are currently more than forty participating restaurants, retail, and service locations where the certificates can be redeemed.
Community Dollar Certificates will be available all year long for gift giving for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, or just to treat yourself.  Your business or organization may also like to give these certificates for special recognition or awards.
The certificates will be available in $10 and $25 denominations on the website visitholly.com, or by appointment at the Holly Area Chamber office. Certificates will be mailed for a small fee or may be picked up at the Chamber office. A full list of participating businesses is also available on the visitholly.com website.
Bonus Matching Money
An anonymous donor has made it possible for the Holly Area Chamber to provide a fifty percent match on certificates purchased. With the bonus offer, the buyer will receive a fifty percent match in bonus certificates with their purchase. Buy two $10 certificates and receive an additional $10 certificate. Buy two $25 certificates and receive an additional $25 certificate. In order to allow the most people to participate, a buyer can purchase up to $100 to receive up to $50 in bonus certificates.
The bonus offer will be available beginning at 9:00 am on Wednesday, February 3rd , and bonus matching will be available until the matching funds of $25,000 have been given out. Regular certificates will need to be spent within one year, and the bonus certificates will need to be spent within six months, by the end of July. Regular Community Dollars will continue to be available throughout the year.
This is a great time to be considering certificates as Valentine’s Day is approaching.  Our local businesses will certainly appreciate the “love” as these certificates are spent in their establishments.  Everyone has expressed a desire to help local restaurants and retailers as many of them continue to struggle during these challenging times. This is one way the Holly Area Chamber is bringing business and the community together.
