Meghan Evoy Appointed to Fill Ferndale Library Board Vacancy

The Ferndale Area District Library Board of Directors would like to announce the appointment of Board member Meghan Evoy. The Board selected Evoy to fulfill the remainder of the term of office of resigned member, Beau Perry. Her term of office will expire December 31, 2022.
Evoy was chosen from among sixteen applicants for the open seat. “The Board was impressed with the number of applicants and the array of talent and experience the applicants possessed. It was gratifying to see so many members of our community want to be involved in the library,” said Board President, Judeen Bartos. “Evoy stood out to the Board for her leadership capabilities as a school principal, along with her enthusiastic commitment to both the library and the Ferndale Community. The Board is delighted to begin working with her.”
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve in this way,” said Evoy. “We all benefit from the important services offered by our library.”
