Driver Turns Onto Tracks, Vehicle Struck by Train in Ferndale

Ferndale, MI – A vehicle was traveling northbound on Hilton and turned westbound onto the train tracks Saturday evening. The vehicle was stuck and the driver exited the vehicle. Amtrak struck the vehicle at approximately 20 mph. No injuries. CN Railroad Police are on scene investigating.
Ferndale Police Community Engagement Officer Jillian Mahlmeister told Oakland County Times that alcohol was not a factor.
