Delivery Driver in Royal Oak Robbed, Carjacked, and Shot in Leg

Royal Oak, MI – On January 12, 2021, at 9:27 p.m., Royal Oak officers responded to a carjacking in which the driver of the vehicle was shot in the leg. The victim was delivering groceries to a residence in the 700 block of S. Gainsborough when he was approached by two black males.
The suspects demanded the victim’s keys, wallet and cellphone. The victim complied and was shot in the leg as he ran away.
Both suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle southbound on S. Gainsborough. The victim’s vehicle was a gray 2007 Toyota Camry with Michigan license plate 5MPN71.
One suspect is described as a black male, 5’11”,160 pounds. The second suspect is described as a black male, 5’10”, 190 pounds. Both suspects are believed to be in their early to mid-twenties. The victim was transported to WBH with non-life-threatening injuries.
