CARES in Farmington Hills Launches ‘Grateful Plate Full’ Campaign
CARES in Farmington Hills, a nonprofit that serves more than 450 families in need each month, has launched a fundraising campaign that is all about gratitude.
The Grateful Plate Full campaign shows the tangible result when donors give to CARES. For instance, a $25 donation will feed one person for a week. $100 provides eggs and milk for all CARES families for an entire month. And with $1,000, CARES can feed a family of four for an entire year!
While reflecting on the community’s generosity over the past year, CARES also recognizes that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create an ever greater need as families face layoffs, educating their children at home, and for some, new medical expenses.
“At CARES of Farmington Hills, we are grateful for the support we have received,” Executive Director Todd Lipa said. “We also know that many of our friends and neighbors will need help, especially as cold weather moves in.”
CARES has had to rely more on cash donations, as typical community collections of non-perishable foods have been canceled due to the pandemic. But your dollars will stretch even farther as the nonprofit is able to purchase food at greatly discounted prices from suppliers.
Contributions to the Grateful Plate Full campaign can be made online at http://caresfh.org/donate/ or by mail to CARES in Farmington Hills, 27835 Shiawassee Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336.
