Oct. 13 – Author of “Michigan’s Lonely Hearts Killer” Virtual Discussion

Oct. 13 – Author of “Michigan’s Lonely Hearts Killer” Virtual Discussion

Rochester Hills Public Library (RHPL) will welcome author Tobin Buhk to discuss his true crime novel, Michigan’s Lonely Hearts Killer, on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. The program will be live-streamed on Zoom.

In February 1949, a couple, known as the “Lonely Hearts Killers,” arrived in Grand Rapids, MI. There they committed a crime that brought an end to their cross-country crime spree. Buhk returns to RHPL to discuss these “Cupid Club” killers and others who preyed on Michigan’s lonely hearts through personal advertisements.

This program is open to the public. Registration is required. Visit or call 248-656-2900 to register. Registrants will be emailed a Zoom meeting link and instructions on how to download the free application for a mobile device or computer.
