Reporter Food: Got Pho? Ferndale

Ferndale, MI – Have you ever gotten a stir fry dish where every single item was cooked to the perfect texture?  Where the sauce had the perfect level of richness and flavor?  Where the tofu was perfectly browned with a filling, meaty texture?  Because this is how delicious my recent dinner from Got Pho? in Ferndale was.
Got Pho? made it’s grand debut as the restaurant business was smack in the midst of the pandemic and the hard economic conditions that accompanied it.  Yet they’re building up loyalty with their amazing food, which can be easily ordered for carryout or through DoorDash.
I ordered the Pad Pak, which is a stir fry of broccoli, peapod, carrot, nopo, bamboo slice, water chestnut, celery and mushroom with a choice of protein (fried tofu for me), in a house brown sauce and a mountain of sticky white rice that just soaked up that delicious sauce for an absolutely amazing meal.
Normally, in my experience at least, spring rolls are not particularly exciting, just something crunchy to pass time while waiting for the main course. But at Got Pho? the spring rolls were so fresh tasting, with just a light crunch on some genuinely delicate dough stuffed with a mix of chicken, taro, carrot, black mushroom, and bean thread.
Last but not least was something for my sweet side, with the creamy goodness of a lychee flavored bubble tea smoothie, with bubbles that tasted like fluffy little marshmallows.
I am totally impressed with the quality of food here, and I hope they maintain this level of care as their business continues to grow.  I had it delivered, so I can’t really speak to the place itself.  But I feel like an in-person follow up will happen soon.  I am already debating between the pineapple fried rice or the basil fried rice. And of course, their 7 different options of pho including rare steak, meatball, vegan, and chicken.
