Party in Brandon Twp with Over 100 Young People Ends with Teen Shot in Arm

Multiple Deputies and the Brandon Township Fire Department responded to the 1500 blk. of Perry Lake Rd. on a report of multiple shots fired outside of a residence at about 2am Sunday. Over 100 people from the ages of 15 thru 20 yrs. old had gathered at the residence for a party. The subjects in attendance were from the Cities of Flint, Burton, Clio, Lansing, the Village of Holly, Brandon Township and other areas. An argument ensued between two of the groups. A large window in the residence was broken out by a male subject. The 17-year-old who resides at residence retrieved a 9 mm handgun and fired multiple rounds. A subject was struck in the right arm and he sustained cuts from the glass also.
The victim stated that he had engaged in a verbal argument with someone prior to his being shot. Two handguns were reported stolen from the residence and have not been recovered.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The victim was transported to McLaren Oakland Hospital by the Brandon Township Fire Department with a gunshot wound to his arm. He was treated and released. Detectives arrived and began their investigation. The suspect has been lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending issuance of charges. The incident remains under investigation. The 17 year old, whose parents were out of town, advised Deputies that originally on 15 people were invited but someone posted the party on social media and over 100 people showed up

VICTIM INFORMATION: 18-year-old male, resident of the City of Flint.
