Up to $20,000 Available Through DNR Community Forestry Grant Program
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has just announced its Community Forestry Grant Program for 2021.
Up to $20,000 is available for projects such as:
Tree inventories and management plans.
Urban forest master plans or strategic plans.
Tree maintenance connected to strategic activities in a plan or tree inventory.
Community outreach or local staff training.
Tree ordinance review and development.
ReLeaf Michigan and Davey Resource Group, Inc. are hosting an informational webinar about this and other funding opportunities on September 10th at 1pm EDT. The webinar will cover tips and tricks to write a compelling Michigan Community Forestry Grant application, as well as other funding sources to support tree planting in local communities.
