Ferndale Man Arrested for Home Invasion, Cracking Safe to Steal Guns

Ferndale, MI – On July 12, 2020 at approximately 3:35 p.m. Ferndale Police responded to the 500 block of Kensington for a home invasion just discovered. The on-scene investigation revealed the homeowner was out of town for several days and returned home to find his house had been burglarized.
The suspect entered the residence and pried open a locked gun cabinet, stealing two rifles and a pistol. Multiple other items were stolen from the house.
The scene was processed by a Ferndale Police evidence technician.
On August 11, 2020, new information in the investigation led detectives to the suspect, Brandon Olli. Detectives recovered stolen property from inside the Olli’s residence located in Ferndale.
During our contact with Brandon Olli, detectives encountered Keith Olli, who fled from the area. Several hours later, Ferndale Police located Keith Olli and arrested him for an unrelated arrest warrant and Possession of Crack-Cocaine.
Brandon Olli, 32, of Ferndale was arraigned by 43rd District Court Magistrate Brennan on one count Home Invasion – 1st Degree and one count Safe Breaking.
Brandon Olli was given a $50,000 cash or surety 10% bond. Keith Olli, 56, of Ferndale was arraigned by 43rd District Court Magistrate Brennan on one count Possession of Cocaine.
Keith Olli was given a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
