Royal Oak, Huntington Woods, MI- The Detroit Zoo is under investigation for their policies towards unwanted animals that enter the park, including the use of a rooftop rifleperson to exterminate creatures that have happened to come on to the 125-arce property.

State Representative of the 35th District Kyra Harris Bolden is being challenged in the Aug. 4, 2020 Democratic Primary by Shadia Martini.
State Representative Padma Kuppa, a Democrat, of the 41st District is running for reelection. Also on the ballot is Republican Andrew Sosnoski.
On the Republican side voters will chose between Tina Barton and Patrick Wilson.
The county Board of Commissioners approved a $5 million allocation from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act last week to fund the program. An additional $3.1 million comes from the federal community development block grants.

Those candidates are Steve Anderson, Martin Ciurlik, Peter Piccinato, Michael Powell, Scott Ruggles, Liz Fessler Smith and Andrea Voorheis.
On the Republican Primary ballot are Barbara Barber and Chris Meister, with Robert Noble running as a write-in.
In the race for Oakland County Clerk and Register of Deeds, incumbent Lisa Brown, a Democrat, is unopposed in the primary.
