June 27 – Peaceful Protest and Parade on 8 Mile

Royal Oak Township, Ferndale, MI – “P3: a Peaceful Protest and Parade” takes place Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 1pm beginning at the Royal Oak Township Recreational center 21272 Mendota and ending at The New Mt Vernon Missionary Baptist Church at 21099 Ithaca Avenue.

The route takes marchers to Ferndale High School then along 8 Mile Road (which will be blocked off) and ends at the church next to the recreation center.

The event has many community participants including Ferndale Police and Fire Departments, Michigan State Police, Alliance of Coalitions for Healthy Communities, Ferndale Schools, SE Oakland Coalition, New Mt. Vernon, Greater Middle Missionary Baptist Church, Second New Home Missionary Baptist Church, Oakdale Tabernacle, God’s Grace Missionary Baptist, Mt Hebrow Missionary Baptist, Motown Dreamteam, Delta Sigma Beta and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
