Deadline Approaching for Matching Funds in Downtown Business Crowdfunding Campaigns

Deadline Approaching for Matching Funds in Downtown Business Crowdfunding Campaigns

(Main Street Oakland County, June 11, 2020)

Fans of Oakland County downtowns can show support for the small businesses that make the communities they live and/or work in special by participating in this crowdfunding campaign.

Local small businesses (defined as independently owned and operated with 30 employees or less) will receive critical help with things like rent, payroll, supplies and marketing. This program may be their only funding source in order to stay in business. Funding decisions will be made at the local level.

The Main Street Oakland County Program has a fundraiser running and is matching 1:1 the dollars raised up to $4,000 for eligible communities. A community can raise far more, though, with valued supporters, like you.

See all the community stories at — scroll down to learn more about their campaign.  The participating communities are Berkley, Birmingham, Clarkston, Clawson, Farmington, Ferndale, Franklin, Hazel Park, Highland, Holly, Lake Orion, Lathrup Village, Leonard, Madison Heights, Oak Park, Ortonville, Oxford, Pontiac, Rochester, South Lyon, and Wixom.

Deadlines for each community vary. Check out all the campaigns at
