Here’s How to Watch the Farmington Virtual Memorial Day Parade
Farmington, Farmington Hills, MI – In the interest of public health and safety, and in compliance with State Executive Orders, the Farmington Memorial Day Parade will not take place this year.
The Groves Walker American Legion Post 346 and the Xemplar Club of Farmington/Farmington Hills have canceled the 2020 Farmington Memorial Day Parade to help reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus.
To honor veterans this year, there will instead be a special Virtual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25 featured on the parade website at www.memorialdayparade.us.
The virtual parade will include footage from past parades, plus heartfelt messages of gratitude offered to military veterans, first responders, and front line workers.
The Farmington Memorial Day Parade has been an area tradition celebrating local heroes since 1970. Now, half a century later, everyone in the community is invited to participate in honoring veterans, fallen warriors, and active service men and women by going to www.memorialdayparade.us and sharing the experience of the Virtual Memorial Day Parade while they stay home and stay safe.
