Crowdfunding for Farmington Businesses Has Matching Funds
(Downtown Farmington, May 17, 2020)
Farmington, MI – Small business owners are the heart of the Downtown Farmington Spirit. Even as the pandemic has drastically impacted their finances, they have been selflessly sharing with those who care for others. Our downtown businesses have donated meals to first responders and health care heroes. They’ve also donated time to make masks and give bread to local shelters. These small businesses are an essential part of what makes Downtown Farmington special.
Now, Downtown Farmington needs you
With your help, we’d like to think this can be our finest hour. Supporting our Downtown Businesses today will help keep the Farmington Spirit alive and well. Your donation, of any size, will be used to help them prepare for the changes they will need to make in order to re-open and serve their customers.
How it works
All funds will go directly to help the Downtown Farmington businesses severely impacted by the financial realities of the COVID-19 pandemic. Your donations will support their need to acquire PPE and other costs incurred to comply with new public safety guidelines. Dollars raised will be matched 1:1 with up to $4,000 by Main Street Oakland County.
Businesses supported must meet the following criteria:
Located within Downtown Farmington’s DDA district
Offer in-person contact such as salons, barbershops, bars & restaurants, retailers and other service-oriented businesses.
