DIA Offers Fine Art Face Masks

DIA Offers Fine Art Face Masks

(Detroit Institute of Arts, May 16, 2020)

Detroit MI – Because the CDC recommends that people wear a cloth covering over their nose and mouth when out in the community, reusable face masks are quickly becoming essential wardrobe items. In response to this new demand, the DIA has joined forces with a textile collaborative in the Midwest to create comfortable, high-quality, art-inspired masks.

Safe use of your mask dictates that you wash it after each use. Stock up on your favorite designs so you’ll always be ready to face the day. Patterns include Rounded Flower Bed, Detroit Industry, The Scream, Starry Night, The Great Wave and more.

Even though the DIA remains closed, these masks are waiting to be shipped to you directly from the textile studio where they are expertly made. Collaborations like this enable us to connect with our community in a positive way during this unprecedented time.
