SMART Posts Survey for Business Owners as they Plan for Increasing Service

Troy, MI – We all know the COVID-19 pandemic has challenged and impacted every aspect of our daily lives. As the regional public transit authority, SMART continues to examine every aspect of its service and we’ve made the appropriate route adjustments over the past two months. We have put many safety measures in place that will ensure the well-being of our riders, drivers and our staff.
Since the beginning of the “Stay Home, Stay Safe Order”, SMART experienced a significant drop in ridership and reduced service to meet the demand that exists for those needing to make essential trips.
As movement towards reopening the communities across the tri-county region unfolds, we are working to gather information about how businesses are planning to return to work. Our awareness of that planning will assist SMART in effectively and efficiently getting your employees to their jobs. Working together we hope to make this transition easier for all.
SMART created a short survey for local businesses to complete as their input will assist in our plans to increase our levels of service. I am asking you to take a few minutes, fill out the survey and also share this email with all businesses within your community. We are hoping to have the survey results back by May 29 at the latest so your prompt attention to this request is very much appreciated.
