Job Listing: Part-Time Program Coordinator at SAGE Metro Detroit

SAGE Metro Detroit is looking for a highly organized and innovative individual to join our team as a part-time contractor Program Coordinator through 2020. The position may be extended beyond 2020, if funding permits. Work is remote but requires occasional travel in the Detroit Metro region (Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne Counties).

Contractual Pay: June 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020: $8,750

Estimated Hours: 10-20 hours / week

Program Coordinator Responsibilities Coordinate volunteers to deliver weekly food and toiletries care packages to LGBTQ older adults

Coordinate weekly virtual programming events, including SAGE Virtual Socials

Assist in expanding SAGE Metro Detroit’s Friendly Caller Program, as needed

Engage in community outreach to implement and execute new and existing programs

Create and disseminate program materials, as needed

Assist with program evaluation reports, as needed

Reports to SAGE Metro Detroit Executive Director
Required Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment to fostering LGBTQ equality

Personal and/or professional experience working on LGBTQ issues

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to work well with teams and communicate effectively to diverse audiences

Drivers’ license and access to reliable transportation

Reliable access to Internet

Knowledge of Zoom and other tools for virtual programs
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience designing, implementing, and/or evaluating programs

Prior experience working with older adults

Prior experience working with volunteers
