17 Deaths and 691 Cases of Coronavirus in Oakland County So Far

Pontiac, MI – As of March 26 there have been 691 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Oakland County.  Statewide there have been 60 deaths and 2,856 confirmed cases.  The local data comes from dashboards set up by Oakland County and the State of Michigan.
In Oakland County the deaths have included 8 females and 9 males ranging in age from one person in their 30s, to three in their 90s, with six victims in their 60s.  The chart does not list locations of residence, though cases have occurred throughout the county.
Nationwide there have been over 1,000 deaths in just the past few weeks, with the number expected to rise.
Patients with confirmed infection have reportedly had mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of:

Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or upper sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
Avoid contact with people who are sick.
If you are sick, stay home, and avoid contact with others.
Stay at least 6 feet away from others when in a public setting.
