Get Out the Vote PSA Contest for Oakland County Students

Pontiac, MI – We are celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment which granted women the right to vote in the United States. Students in Oakland County are eligible to enter this 30 second PSA contest.

PSA Contest

“Get Out & Vote on the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage”

Create & submit a 30-second public service announcement designed to encourage people to”Get Out & Vote” on the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage and you could win $300!

Who is eligible?

All 6th-12th grade students in Oakland County

When is the deadline?

Students upload video to either YouTube or Vimeo. Students then complete the submission form by March 20, 2020 (the form includes a field for submitting the video link).

How will submissions be judged?


Effectiveness of the “Get Out and Vote” message

Technical production

Interpretation of the theme of “The 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage.”


Grades 6-8: 1st Place: $300; 2nd Place $200

Grades 9-12: 1st Place: $300; 2nd Place $200

People’s Choice: $300
