March 4 – Holocaust Survivor Esther Posner at Southfield Library

Southfield, MI – Hear the inspiring story of holocaust survivor Esther Posner.  Esther Posner was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in May, 1937 to a family that had fled from small villages in Germany after a history of 300 years. After the German invasion of Amsterdam in May 1940, half of Esther’s family was deported and murdered. For the duration of the war, Esther was on the run from one home to the next until the Netherlands was liberated by the Allies in May, 1945. Recently, Esther returned to the Netherlands with her three sons and met with her rescuers.
