Reporter Food: Billy’s Tip N’ Inn in White Lake
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 6, 2020)
White Lake Township, MI – The motto of Billy’s Tip N’ Inn is “a place to eat, not dine,” serving up a solid selection of bar crowd favorites like burgers, salads, BBQ, and a few select pasta options.
My friend had the fish and chips, made with beer-battered Icelandic Cod, served with thick cut fries and a side of creamy coleslaw. I opted for the the Lumberjack Chicken which was a smoked chicken breast with bacon, mushrooms, mozzarella and cheddar melted on top, plus a simple side salad with shredded cheese and a cherry tomato.
A handmade plaque on the wall celebrates the restaurant’s first day of service – Sept. 25, 2000. The website’s about page says “We wanted to create an up north style log cabin restaurant where people gather to eat… Billys Tip N’ Inn is unique in the restaurant industry, with the eclectic decor, the warm and cozy atmosphere, and the friendly staff and patrons. This is a staple in our town of White Lake, so be sure to come and visit!”
