Auburn Police Seeking Suspects in Burger King Armed Robbery Attempt
On December 27, 2019 at 8:37 am, officers from the Auburn Hills Police Department were dispatched to an attempted armed robbery that had just occurred at the Burger King restaurant, located at 910 N. Opdyke Rd. in Auburn Hills.
Two suspects entered the Burger King wearing masks over their faces and demanded money from the safe. The suspects implied that they were armed with a gun, but no gun was ever seen by the victims. The employees refused to give the suspects money and advised they were calling the police. The suspects then ran out of the restaurant and across Opdyke Rd. to a hotel parking lot. They were witnessed leaving the parking lot in an older model burgundy Ford Explorer with tinted windows.
The following is a description of the two suspects:
Suspect #1: Black male, dark complexion, between 17 to 22 years of age, 6’0” to 6’2”, 220 lbs., wearing a dark colored hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes. He was also wearing a blue camouflage backpack.
Suspect #2: Black male, light complexion, between 17 to 22 years of age, 6’0” to 6’2”, 150 lbs., wearing a black Nike hoodie, black pants, black Nike shoes with white logo.
