Ferndale Sparkles with Holiday Ice Festival Fun
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Dec. 19, 2019)
Ferndale, MI – Downtown Ferndale got sparkly this weekend for the annual Holiday Ice Festival. Ice sculptures lined Nine Mile and Woodward, with shoppers and families making the rounds to check them out.
At Schiffer Park guests not only got to sit on Santa’s lap, there were photo ops with the Planter’s Peanut and the Peanut mobile. Inside the warming tent was hot cocoa and coloring, while a hayride along nine mile and through the surrounding neighborhood provided a cheerful outside treat.  This year’s hayride even had a live musician.
The Downtown Ferndale shopping season continues as locally owned businesses like Candle Wick Shoppe, The Rust Belt Market, Blumz by JRDesigns, and Modern Natural Baby welcome visitors with an atmosphere of holiday cheer.
