Holiday Gift Ideas: Holly Antiques
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Nov. 27, 2019)
Holly, MI – If you are looking for a unique holiday gift, it may make sense to skip the modern day department stores and find inspiration in the past.  Holly Antiques has a variety of treasures that could make for a nice holiday surprise.
Collectors of sports memorabilia, vintage toys and kitchenware, vinyl records, dolls, figurines, salt and pepper shakers, books, magazines, and more could find interesting additions among the two floors of booths in this historic downtown Holly building.
Of course the old school printing press has a certain charm to it, as well as the antique record player, both to be found on the second floor.  Vintage crocheted quilts could keep a loved one warm. While a large framed print of Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” could inspire some romance if you just imagine the couple standing beneath some mistletoe.  For those who are more moved by the political side of life,  a board game about the Kennedy’s could make for some interesting fireside conversation.
There are Christmas items throughout the generations as well, including plastic light-up Santas, teacups graced with happy holiday scenes, ornaments and figurines, and an entire  booth dedicated to the Holly Dicken’s festival and items that are Victorian in nature.
The Festival, by the way, spans THREE weekends, beginning with a LIGHTED PARADE on Friday, November 29, 2019 @ 7:30 PM.  For more on that click here.
