Laugh your way through the holidays with hilarious shows at Go Comedy!
Ferndale, MI- Go Comedy! is proud to announce the opening of its TENTH original holiday sketch revue Maybe It’s Cold Outside November 21 with performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings through December 21.
The award-winning improv theatre will also feature Naughy & Nice, a collection of favorite sketches from past holiday shows, Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons December 4 – 22.
The theatre will also welcome back an audience favorite, Frosty, Wednesday & Thursday evenings at 10pm December 11-19. Details and tickets for all Go Comedy! programs are available online at www.gocomedy.net.
Maybe It’s Cold Outside
Pull out the old victrola and put on your favorite holiday album with Go Comedy!’s tenth original holiday sketch revue, Maybe It’s Cold Outside. Join Molly Alampi, Alex Bergmans, Eric Heilner, Sonia Khaleel, Keenan Patrick, and Anna Imesch Reid as they revel in the most hilarious moments & memories of the holidays. Written by the cast and directed by Tommy LeRoy, Maybe It’s Cold Outside opens November 21st and appears Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm through December 21. Tickets are $15 on Opening Night and $20 for all other performances.
Naughty & Nice
While the theater’s tenth original holiday revue hits the stage, Go Comedy! is taking a deep dive into its archive with a collection of some of the best sketches from the past nine years in Naughty And Nice. Featuring Paolina Barker, Patty Ghould, Chris Fortin, Devin Jenkins, Carrie Sue Murphy, and Jared Simard, with direction by Peter Jacokes. Naughty And Nice appears Wednesdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm December 4-22. Tickets are $15.
Frosty
Go Comedy! is bringing back the hilarious original comedy Frosty! Wednesday evenings in December. It has been ten years since the children from the small town of Armonk have seen their friend Frosty the snowman.  And now they are home from college, on winter break, during the first snow fall of the season.  Frosty returns from the North Pole to find the kids have grown up into young adults and things are not quite as simple as they once were.This original late night show debuted in 2013 and is written by Erik Heilner & Andrew Seiler. Frosty appears Wednesday & Thursday evenings at 10:00 pm  December 11, 12, 18 & 19. Tickets ($10) are on sale now at www.gocomedy.net.
New Year’s Eve
Ring in the New Year at Go Comedy! with two spectacular presentations of the Go Comedy! All Star Showdown. Complete with pre-show (7:30pm performance) or post-show (10:00pm performance) appetizers and drinks, with bigger and better audience prizes for the new year. New Year’s Eve at Go Comedy! is the most hilarious way to ring our the old and ring in the new. Showtimes are at 7:30pm (Tickets $50) and 10:00pm (Tickets: $75).

ABC Family
From the Breakfast Club to Riverdale, the tale of teenagers figuring it all out has always been a serious, angsty look at their world. ABC Family takes that world and gives it a wedgie. ABC Family is a hilarious, improvised teen drama – full of unrequited love, sports championships and basement goblins studying for the MEAP. Every show is completely different and created through the audience’s suggestions.
Don’t Google It (A Sketch Show)
Step right up into our time machine that will take you anywhere you’ve ever wanted to go throughout time and space as long as that place is the wild wild west, WWII era Germany, or more or less present time. As always, no dogs, keep your perversions to yourself, and of course, you must be with spleen to ride. Thank you, enjoy your ride, and always remember that no matter what you see or hear on your journey… Don’t Google It. Don’t Google It features Lauren Arnett, Shawn Golden, Steve Grain, Jenny Haddo, Devin Jenkins, and Jess Nosal. Written by Devin Jenkins and Andrew Lieberman, it is directed by Chris Fortin.
Gorgeous Orphans
Imagine applying suncream to your fake girlfriend’s back while eating a few eggs and thinking about your grandpa’s hands with your imaginary friend. Did you do it? No? Well, do it. Good. The crew behind Gorgeous Orphans did too and decided to make their whole show about it. Certified nice, goodness pending. This original comedy is written by Jared Simard, Alec Sheldon, Anthony Laurain, and Austin Taurig. Directed by Chris Fortin, it features the writers and Amie Rewitz, Maddie Zavala, and Allen Smock.
Hangover’s Eve
The night before Thanksgiving (Wednesday, November 27) is traditionally known as the biggest bar night of the year. In that spirit, Go Comedy! presents Hangover’s Eve – a night featuring some of the best improv troupes in Metro Detroit including: Moonmonster, Thursday Interns, Mitch & Matt, and Don’t Laugh with Human Amusements. Showtime is 8:00pm and tickets are $10.
Let’s Just Say
An evening of storytelling from various Detroit artists. True stories, vulnerable storytellers, heartwarming anecdotes, cheap drinks, big laughs. Let’s just say it’ll be a good time. October 17 will feature Ghost Stories.
Nick Paul Magical Comedy
Friday, December 27 @ 8pm
Nick Paul is an Los Angeles based magician and comedian known for his unique combination of physical comedy, magic and quick wit. He has been seen on CONAN, NBC, and works on the magic team for the new Netflix original series Magic for Humans.
He is a regular featured performer at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood and tours colleges, fortune 500 companies, cruise ships and theaters.
His Fringe Festival show Impossible Feats of Fake Magic received rave reviews; Awarded critics pick for “Best Variety Show” by the Orlando Sentinel and voted “Top 10 Shows to See” by Time Out LA.
His show has been seen in over a dozen countries worldwide.
Most notably, he recently won the award for “Greatest Magician….in his family.”
Pandemonia
More improv than you can shake an invisible stick at! 12 comedians vie for laughs, love and points to see who can be the last one standing through a series of comedic scenes, songs, and even party games. Audience suggestions pave the way for a wild night of improv comedy.
Proving Grounds
Each night three different local comedy groups take the stage. Sometimes improv, sometimes sketch, sometimes who-knows? REPRESENT! The Diversity Jam

Go Comedy’s newest Launch Groups join 3 of the finest improv troupes in the area performing scenic long-form improv comedy. Immediately followed by Fresh Sauce: our free, open improv jam!
True Colors: Come Out And Play
True Colors: Come Out and Play is an improv show and jam showcasing the talent of the LGBTQ+ improv community. LGBTQ Improvisers perform based on select guests’ coming out stories followed by an open improv jam with members of the LGBTQ community and their allies.
T.R.U.T.H
True Revelations Uncovered Through Heroism is a monthly meeting moderated by critical thinkers Thomas Luge and Lil’ Dickie Rickets who also host the podcast “TRUTHCAST.” Heroic “Conspiracy Theorists” present their truths – the news the so-called media is too scared to report.This is a serious event and NOT a showcase of absurd characters improvising presentations based on slide shows they’ve never seen before!
We Wear Pink
Featuring the best of Detroit’s female improvisers coming together for empowerment, bonding, performance and enrichment of the female improv community.
The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown
A highly interactive improvised game show one part “Whose Line is it Anyway,” and one part “Match Game PM”. The audience can be as involved as they want to, but aren’t picked on. The game show features a series of short improv games, challenges and more.
The Family Friendly All Star Showdown
A daytime version of our longest-running show that features improv games specially designed for kids and the whole family! Sunday, August 25 at 4:00pm. Adult tickets are $10. Kids 5-18 are $5. And kids under 5 are FREE.
Name This Show
A FREE long-form improvised show featuring the cast of the Friday or Saturday night shows. Immediately after the 10:00 PM show on Friday & Saturday evenings.
