Lathrup Village Women’s Club Remembers Officer David Imber, Collecting Donations for Family
(City of Lathrup Village, Nov. 16, 2019)
Lathrup Village, MI – On September 2, 2019, the City of Lathrup Village lost both a valued police officer and a friend. Officer David Imber died of glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, at the age of 38. David Imber’s life was one of service to his family and to his community. After serving two tours of duty in Iraq, he worked as a corrections officer with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. In 2017, he joined the Lathrup Village Police Department where he was a much admired and respected officer.
A devoted husband and father, Officer Imber leaves behind his loving wife Julie and two daughters, 4 year old Mia and 14 year old Brooke. The first holiday season without a loved one is an especially hard time of year for those left behind. The Lathrup Village Women’s Club invites you to celebrate this season of sharing and caring by contributing to a holiday fund for Officer Imber’s children.
Donations can be made at the Lathrup Village Women’s Club Luncheon on December 2,  at the Municipal Building, or by sending a donation to LVWC Treasurer Dorothy Warren c/o LVWC, PO Box 760415 Lathrup Village 48076.
