Shopping and Smiles at Holly Ladies Night
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Nov. 12, 2019)
Holly, MI – The cold November air did not stop over 1,500 women from coming to Downtown Holly for their “Fall Wrap Up” Ladies Night Out Friday. The first thousand of them went home with a bag of goodies like deals and gift certificates to local businesses.
Places like Creative Fashions, Battle Alley Coffee, Holly Antiques, Pigeon in the Parlor and dozens more welcomed shoppers in with deals and freebies.  Other stores not directly in the shopping areas, like Loyalty Tattoo and Advanced Chiropractic, joined in fattening up the swag bag with deals for the guests to enjoy later.
The Holly Vault, Holly’s premiere location for special events, was packed with home-based vendors, giving many other female-owned businesses a chance to thrive.
Also taking a corner in the Vault was Sandy Coulson of Ignite Nutrition, a nutrition and smoothie bar that recently opened at 1121 N. Sagniaw Street.  Her fruity-sweet shots packed a punch of B vitamins to give shoppers a burst of natural energy.
Cupcakes and Kisses made the night extra sweet by including prizes inside some of their delicious creations.  Andy’s Place was packed with women enjoying the warmth of good food and friends, along with live music. Next door at the Holly Hotel, those who opted for fine dining in a candle-lit Victorian setting watched through the windows of the historic restaurant as shoppers strolled between stores in the glow of Battle Alley.
And throughout the quaint historical downtown, volunteers in Victorian attire invited visitors to return again on weekends between Nov 29 and Dec 15 for the Holly Dickens Festival.  That’s when Downtown Holly takes on a “Christmas Carol” theme to make holiday shopping a magical experience.
