Oakland County, MI- Voters in several Oakland County communities had their say in local governance Tuesday.

In Rochester Hills a primary was held to narrow down a field of candidates for the City Council at large position.  The top four vote-getters move on to the Nov. 5 Election where two candidates will be chosen to serve on the council.

Not making it to the ballot are Angela Joyce (682)  and Ryan Smith (1,474).

Birmingham Parking Structure Bond Proposal failed with 68.23% voting no and 31.77% in favor. There were 5,798 votes cast.

In Walled Lake the public safety millage passed with 72.37% of the votes. 637 votes were cast.

In Bloomfield Township the Special Assessment for Police and Fire failed with 62.20% voting no.  10,736 people voted.

Voters in Oxford passed their Police Protection Millage with 69.7% in favor. There were 3,057 votes cast. The Parks and Recreation Millage also passed, with 62.4% in favor.

In West Bloomfield Township voters approved the Public Safety Millage Replacement with 85.52% in favor. The Safety Path Millage Renewal also passed, with 75.18% in support.
