Reporter Food: Virginia Baked Ham at Copperstone’s in Waterford
(Crystal A. Proxmire, June 26, 2019)
Waterford, MI – I was very pleased to happen upon Copperstone’s Family Restaurant at 4631 Highland Road in Waterford.
My delight came in being able to try the Virginia Baked Ham which comes served with two eggs, and I had hash browns added on.
This sweet and salty breakfast meat is thick cut and just slightly browned. I ordered my eggs over medium so I could cut up my ham and swirl it around in the gooey protein-rich yolk. The hash browns were cut in a wonderfully thin way that made them nearly melty. Paper-thin could be a good description, but parchment-thin would be more accurate.
Like many family restaurants, Copperstone’s has a variety of breakfast items like biscuits n’gravy, omelets, eggs, oatmeal, etc. They also serve lunch and dinner in a cozy diner with comfy booths and blue accent lighting and blue-tinted cups.
