Reporter Food: Escamilla Amigos in Ortonville
Ortonville, MI – A recent visit to NE Oakland County gave me the chance to add Escamilla Amigos to our list of Oakland County restaurants.
Escamilla Amigos is a family-owned cafe with authentic Mexican fare.
I picked up a chicken quesadilla, made on the most amazing homemade tortillas. The chicken was greasy and flavorful.  The cheese was rich and gooey.  It came with re-fried beans and seasoned rice, as well as a bit of lettuce, pico de gallo, guac, and sour cream.
The menu offers a variety of items, including chalupas, camarones a la diabla, house-made tamales, chile relleno and flautas. Plus they’ve got the basics like tacos and burritos.
