Ferndale Police Apprehend Armed Robbery Suspect

Ferndale, MI – Ferndale Police arrested an armed robbery suspect early Tuesday morning after a search of the neighborhood near the crime.
Police Sgt. Baron Brown told Oakland County Times “7 Eleven on the west side was robbed about 2 am. We located and arrested a suspect on W Troy with the help of our law enforcement partners. We had help from Royal Oak, Oak Park, and Pleasant Ridge PDs.
“The suspect was armed with a loaded pistol at the time of arrest although, he was taken into custody without incident. We are confident that he was the lone perpetrator and the community is not in any danger as a result of this incident. We may have more to follow later today.”
Ferndale Police have also apprehended a man suspected of breaking into vehicles. “Looking for victims of car break-ins in the far northwest section of the city. We have a suspect in custody. We have several cars in the area that were broken into. We have recovered several items that were stolen. We are now looking to reunite that property with the rightful owners.
