Deputy from Mounted Unit Injured After Fall from Horse at Addison Oaks

Addison Township, MI – Deputies and the Addison Township Fire Department responded to the Addison Oaks County Park on Sunday for an injured Deputy. The Deputy is assigned to the Mounted Unit and had been ejected from his horse and while on the ground the horse stepped on his leg and chest. Paramedics from the Addison Township Fire Department treated the Deputy for his injuries.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Paramedics transported the Deputy to Ascension-Providence Hospital – Rochester for further evaluation. The Deputy was admitted for observation and released today.
VICTIM INFORMATION: 28-year-old male, a three-year member of the Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit.
