Railroad Crossing Repair Causes Fourth Street/Lincoln Detour in Downtown Royal Oak
After months of working with CN Railroad, the City of Royal Oak has prepared permits for detouring traffic away from CN’s Fourth Street and Lincoln Avenue crossing so that the railroad can proceed with the replacement of rails and uneven decking.
The work began ahead of schedule on April 22^nd. The closing will continue through May 6^th, 2019 Pedestrians need to be especially aware that these crossings are closed for them as well while construction occurs.
Detour routes include 11 Mile Road and Sixth Street for vehicles and Fifth Street for pedestrians.
