CASA Celebrating 35 Years with Events April 26-27

Oak Park, Ferndale, MI-  The Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts (CASA) is a consortium school that provides higher level classes for students in the Berkley, Clawson, Ferndale, Lamphere, Madison, Oak Park and Pontiac School districts. It began in 1983, serving 35 students with four classes.  Now there is an entire catalogue including AP level courses and the arts.Students go to their home high schools in the morning and come to CASA in the afternoon. CASA offers 16 Advanced Placement classes in all major subject areas, an advanced visual arts program, a robust dance program, three world languages and many unique electives students cannot find in their home schools.

This weekend they are celebrating with two great events:

All-classes Alumni Party Friday, April 26, 2019 from 5:30-8pm at Detroit Fleat, 1820 E. 9 Mile Road, Ferndale, MI 48220  RSVP:

CASA Expo Saturday, April 27, 2019, CASA 23561 Rosewood, Oak Park, MI 9:30am-noon.  The event includes an art show, student presentations, demonstrations, teacher talks, building tours, refreshments and alumni guest speakers: Andy Meisner, Oakland County Treasurer, Seth Berg, Principal, Meadowbrook Elementary, Aaron Levin, Assistant Attorney General for MI, Paige Pfleger, Health Reporter, WOSU and NPR.
