21 Year Old Novi Woman Fatally Shot, Infant Injured

NOVI, MI – The Novi Police Department continues to investigate a Sunday morning homicide on the 29000 block of Rousseau Drive in the Oakland Glens Mobile Home Community where police found a 21-year-old woman had been killed and a 6-7 month old baby was injured.
The victim is Novi resident Tia Joe, and according to the autopsy report from the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office her cause of death was from a gunshot wound, and the manner of death was homicide. The infant is currently in critical but stable condition at an area hospital.
Novi Police were called at 4:21am on Sunday regarding an incident at the home. When they entered the home they found the woman and baby inside. The matter remains under investigation by Novi Police detectives and Michigan State Police crime scene technicians.
