Reporter Food: Fish & Chips at Royal Diner
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 28, 2019)
Clarkston, MI – It’s nice having someplace to go in the middle of the night that has an amazing variety of food and people. The Royal Diner at 6540 Dixie Highway in Clarkston is that perfect after-meeting place.
Recently I had their fish and chips with a side of cabbage soup, which had a rich tomato sauce and hearty pieces of cabbage and potatoes. The fish and chips meal had crispy golden batter and nice thick pieces of fish.
It was a long night, so I also ordered a fruit crepe which came topped with whipped cream.
Previously I’ve done columns about their Garden Crepes, made with asparagus and Hollandaise sauce, as well as their Corned Beef Swiss Burger.
