Reporter Food: Kobe Beef Sliders at Sedona Taphouse
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 21, 2019)
Troy, MI – A friend and I recently went to Sedona Taphouse at 198 E Big Beaver Rd in Troy for lunch. This is a franchise, but the one in Troy is the only Michigan location.
My friend ordered the Cuban, which is pulled pork and chicken, melted cheeses, mustard, and pickles on a toasted artisan roll with a side of Jicama Slaw.
I went for the Australian Kobe Beef Sliders, which had patties of Wagyu Beef topped with Vermont Cheddar, house-made sauce, and caramelized onions. For the side I picked the Mexican Street Corn which had a nice mild flavor to it. The sliders were great, and I particularly loved the caramelized onions on top.
The menu has gluten free options including sandwiches and pastas. The server recommended the Devil’s Pass Pasta, which may be an option for another day. Other interesting menu items are the Desert Fire Jalapenos, Goat Cheese and Tomato Jam Bruschetta, Alpine Chicken Sandwich, Havana Pork Tacos and Croque Monsieur.
