Fire Damages Home in Hazel Park

Hazel Park, MI- Firefighters were called to West Garfield between John R and North Chrysler Drive Friday afternoon to extinguish a house fire.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  There did not appear to be any injuries and a neighbor told Oakland County Times that no one was home when the fire broke out.
Water used to put out the fire has left West Garfield covered in a thick layer of ice, and as of 1:30pm there were still fire crews on the scene.  In addition to Hazel Park firefighters, there were also crews from Madison Heights and Ferndale.
