Dallas Lesperance Named Holly Varsity Football Coach
HOLLY, MI — Following an extensive search and selection process, Holly Area Schools has chosen Dallas Lesperance as head varsity football coach to lead the team into the 2019 season and beyond. Lesperance, currently Holly High School’s Athletic Activities Coordinator, was previously an assistant coach for the Broncho football team.
“Coach Dallas Lesperance has exhibited the qualifications and passion to lead our football program moving forward,” said Deb VanKuiken, Holly High School Athletic Director. “After a thorough, two-round interview process focused on character and football knowledge, it was clear Coach Lesperance was the right choice to lead this program. All parties involved believe he will be an excellent representation of our football team, district and community.”
Candidates were evaluated by two committees made up of current and former Holly Area Schools administrators and athletic staff, parents and residents. Prior to coming to Holly, Lesperance was on staff as a varsity assistant football coach at Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard High School. He has coached both baseball and football at Holly High School.
Lesperance, a 1989 Holly High School graduate and his wife, Aimee, have three children, Douglas, Austin and Megan. All three children are also Holly High School graduates.
“We are thrilled to have Coach Lesperance on board to lead our Broncho football team into the 2019 season and beyond,” said Scott Roper, Holly Area Schools superintendent. “As head coach, I have no doubt he will continue our tradition of world-class athletic opportunities that teach our students leadership, taking responsibility, problem solving and teamwork both on and off the football field.”
